My Beginning...

Mommy started feeling contractions February 9th, after Daddy got home from work. They were bothering her a little bit, but nothing that she couldn't handle. The rest of the night Mommy's contractions didn't get any worse, so she thought it was just Braxton Hicks. Mommy and Daddy went to bed that night, and then next morning, Mommy woke up with contractions again, but this time they were stronger. She decided to go for a walk with Daddy to see what would happen. After they got back from the walk, Mommy's contractions were a lot worse, and Daddy decided to call the hospital. They said that it would be a good idea if he and Mommy went to the hospital. They got to the hospital around 3 pm, and Mommy was checked into a room. Around 4 pm, Mommy's water broke, but was only 3 cm. Over the next three hours, Mommy's contractions got worse and worse, and she was in a lot of pain. She started crying at one point because the pain was so intense. Daddy helped by rubbing her back, holding her hand, and telling what a great job she was doing. Around 8 pm, Mommy was checked again, but she only 5 cm. I just didn't want to come out, and this was getting Mommy frustrated. In the middle of, all her pain, Mommy was somehow able to fall asleep until 2 am when Mommy's contractions were able 8 minutes apart. 30 minutes later, and Mommy was 10 cm! She and Daddy were so excited. Now, the really hard part came-- getting me out! Mommy was prep for me to be born, and then she starting pushing at around 2:45. Mommy tried really hard to get me out, pushing, moaning, and crying, for 30 minutes, but nothing happened. I mean, who can blame me, it was nice and warm in Mommy's belly! Mommy was told to relax for a little bit before she pushed again. At 3:30, Mommy starting again, but this time she REALLY wanted to out! Mommy pushed really hard, and screamed a few times too. The first few pushes nothing happened, but by the 6th or 7th one, I was starting to come out! My head starting crowning, which Mommy said really hurt because it felt like it was burning. On the next push, my head was out. Two more, and I was welcomed into the world!!I started screaming, and Mommy and Daddy were crying because they were so happy. After the nurses took me away to be poked and prodded with needles, and clean me out, Daddy cut my umbilical cord. I was wrapped up in a nice, warm blanket, and given to Mommy so she could hold me. I could sure tell by her face that she was happy I was out!!
