My life so far...

Well, here I am. I don't know how I got here, or what I'm doing but I know that I'm here.

I haven't always lived here though - I lived elsewhere for the first 38 weeks of my life (it would have been 40 weeks but moving day was brought forward by some doctors, can't remember why now!). My old home was much darker, and warmer but there was so much noise you could hardly hear yourself think!! There was my heartbeat, and my Mummy's, there was the swooshing noise that my umbilical cord made, and lots of other noises too.

But as comfortable as it was, it was clear that I wouldn't be able to stay there. So I embraced the move - what can I say, I like challenges. New house, new look, I'm generally happy with all my choices although sometimes I think perhaps I haven't done as well as I could have on the initial training of my parents. It turns out that all the 'letting me stay downstairs' and 'letting me decide when I want to do something' was to lull me in to a false sense of security, giving me illusions of power that at about 5 months in, was cruelly and unjustly stripped from me. They started mentioning the word routine and I was hurled in to my cot every lunchtime and, I note, much earlier in the evening than ever before. I wasn't entirely happy but if it kept them placated it was worth it I guess - you know what parents are like when you disagree with them!

Since then, I've done loads of stuff! I learned to crawl and walk - that was hard I have to say but I just kept focussing on the end goal - getting to that door when mummy isn't looking! My escape attempts while crawling had proved futile so it was clear that walking (and eventually running) would be my own hope.

I've mastered all manner of toys and jigsaws now - although it has to be said, wheely things are still my favourite. I'm considering entering the world of motor-mechanics in later life. That or jumping up and down for a living!

More when it happens!

Hello World!

Thank you for logging on to my website - are you thoroughly impressed that I have one at just 1 year and 10 months old?  It comes, you see, from having a mummy who spends far too much time on the internet chatting to all my friends' mummies! I don't really see what they have to talk about all day but they do manage it.  The upside to this is that she has time to help me with this - I like to call her my secremummy!

Anyway, more about me - well like I said I'm nearly 2, it will be my birthday soon and I expect we will be having a big party - I keep hearing mummy and daddy mention "LPG Birthday Bash" on my birthday weekend so I am assuming that must stand for "Large Presents and Gifts!" I am very cute (even if I do say so myself!) and look quite a bit like Daddy did at my age. I have blonde hair and blue eyes. I'm very athletic - I can run the length of the lounge in under 2 seconds now, mummy can't do it at all, ha ha!!

I have to go now, my shapes are completely messed up after  a minor tantrum I held earlier - I must go and re-sort them in to the wooden box!

Catch you later!
