The day I was born!

March 24, 2007 was the day I was born. Mommy and daddy had decided to have hardwood floors installed the week leading up to my due date. It was a rough week for them living out of the basement and having to stay two nights at Aunt Krista's house because of the smell. All daddy wanted was for me to wait until the floors were done to arrive. Well, the men finished and mommy's contractions started. Daddy timed them all day. He kept a little notepad so we knew how far apart. We went to Home Depot to get some things, The Green Turtle for lunch and back to the house. Mommy continued to have contractions. We had been having Miss Katherine come over for Pizza and Beer night on Fridays during Lent but since our kitchen was off limits, mommy and daddy went and picked her up. They all went to Bill Bateman's and daddy continued to keep track of the contractions which were coming closer and were stronger. After they dropped Miss Katherine off, mommy was in ALOT of pain. They went home and daddy showered and made himself a huge pot of coffee anticipating a long night. At 1am, they got in the car but decided against going. Everyone told them not to go too soon or they would just send you back home. So all night, they kept track. There was one period when daddy would doze off. Mommy would have a contraction, fall asleep when it was finished and daddy didn't know if she was done or not. They finally decided to go the hospital around 7am the next morning(that was after mommy made daddy put together a bookshelf in my room). The contractions stopped on the way to the hospital. They both figured they would be sent home. Mommy was examined and she was already to 6 CM!! I was on my way! I finally was born at 3:51pm. Mommy only had to push for 20 minutes (after her epidural finally worked!). I was born on my due date!!!
