The Day I was born

I had been giving mummy a bit of grief in the weeks leading up to my birth......she wanted me out so we could play... but I wasnt quite ready.

On the 4th of May (nanny's birthday) they broke mummy's waters at 7.30am and at around 9.30am contractions really kicked in and mummy was in labour.

At about 12 noon mummy couldnt help but push me out. and out I came in a big rush. The obstetrician hardly even had her gloves on and wooooosh out I came. Liana, mummy and daddy's student midwife got to catch me, and then daddy cut my cord. Then mummy and I had snuggles for a little while.

When I was born I was a little bit blue because the cord was wrapped around my neck, but soon I pinked up nicely and I wasnt even very noisey about it.......they say i must be more like my daddy if i'm quiet.

About half an hour after I was born, I got my first feed.... and boy does that stuff taste good!!!

I was born one week early, and weighed 3.57kg and was 50cm long. I had brown hair and dark blue eyes.

Mummy and daddy looked so excited to see me, and I have a big sister who gives me the best cuddles and kisses all the time.

My name is Ethan Robert Garrood and I was born on the 4th of May 2007 at 12.15pm.

My birth was only 3 hours.....a bit more than my big sisters birth. I was 7 Pounds 14 Ounces (3.57kg) and 50cm long.

I have brown hair and blue eyes. Mummy and Daddy are very smitten with me.

At the moment mostly I just eat and sleep. Most of all I love cuddles, so warm and snuggly.
