The Day I was born

I had been giving mummy a bit of grief in the weeks leading up to my birth......she wanted me out so we could play... but I wasnt quite ready.

On the 4th of May (nanny's birthday) they broke mummy's waters at 7.30am and at around 9.30am contractions really kicked in and mummy was in labour.

Your finally home. I hope your settling in with your mum, dad and big sister. Nanny and I had lots of fun with Ella while you were in hospital with Mum and Dad. Ella was so happy to finally meet you on the "outside":-) I am sure you two are going to have lots of fun together. Try not to give mum and dad too much of a hard time, it is perfectly OK to sleep and eat for the next little while. See you soon

Hi Ethan, aren't you just the cleverest kid on the block, got this internet thing sorted already. But , with a mum and dad like you have that was always going to happen. I am sure you get the "I want to do it now!!", and hence the early net use, from ya mum :-) I guess all the grief your mum is having carrying you around at the moment is just you toughening yourself up so you have a bit of a chance when you sister Ella gets the chance to do all the feeding and wrapping on you for real, instead of practicing on her dolls. Me and your nanny are so much looking forward to playing with you and being part of your life. Lots of love and hugs and see you REAL SOON (well thats what mummy would like) :-)

Three weeks old.

I'm three weeks old now, and I am getting a little more interacitve. Now I like to grasp things that are close to me, and I like to follow things with my eyes! Also i'm trying to hold my head up, but that makes me very very tired.

Mum says that i'm having a growth spurt and that i'm already growing out of clothes.- I'm going to be tall like my daddy.

At the moment I dont like to be away from mummy for too long. At night times, I really like to be snuggled up to mummy in her bed. Its really warm in there and I feel safe. But apparently mum and dad would like more sleep........but if I have pains in my tummy, I wake them up for help. Maybe tonight we will sleep more......who knows.

hi everyone!!!

thank you so much for all of your visits and love and cuddles. and for everyone who has cooked mummy and daddy and ella meals. i'm still enjoying milk so i havent tried any, but mummy says they are very grateful.

I have grown quite a bit this week and have had my first cold. my big sister gave it to me. She is very generous.

mostly i just eat and sleep. I have wee'd on daddy a gew times when he is changing my nappy...... its pretty funny :)

My Birth

I'm here!!!!

I arrived at 12.15pm on friday the 4th of May. They broke mummy's waters at 7.30am and then this big uterus house I was living in started contracting seriously at around 9am. Then I was SQEEZED out at 12.15pm. Not bad.

Mummy wanted to push me out so quickly that the obstetrician didnt even have her gloves on!!! and my face was a little bit bruised from the speedy departure.

So now Nanny and I share the same birthday.....how cool is that.

We are at home now and resting. mummy and daddy and ella are really nice and I am happy at home......although I didnt sleep much last night because mummy's milk was too yummy.

Hello world

Hi everyone.

Mum says that she's given me a fair go now, and that its time to come out. So today apparently they are going to puncture my waterbed. Now that doesnt sound very nice to me. I might want to get out when they do that.

My big sister has been giving mummy's tummy lots of kisses and has started to call me baby. I'm very excited to meet her. She sounds like lots of fun.

So today is the day. mum says that normally when they break the waterbed it takes up to 24 hours to evict me. lets see what suprises I have in store for them.............

At the appointment today, the OB checked out mummy to see how we were doing, and she tried to poke me in the head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 the cheek!! dont these people know that i'll come out when good and ready.

apparently i need a gap 10cm big to get out. and the gap is already 3cm big... isnt mummy clever and organised!!! so the doctor did a sweep thingy and now everything around me seems to be getting tight and smaller.......

maybe i'll come visit everyone soon :)

OB appointment 36.5 weeks

My head is squashed trying to get out and i'm huge.......cant people say nice things about me???? The doctor told mummy that she is nearly at full capacity now. ANd my head is fully engaged, apparently I am now the size of a normal newborn and I am putting on 250g each week!!! So the longer I stay in, the less happy mummy is. I've got 3 more weeks to finish cooking- and if i take all that time, i'll be 750g heavier.....so I have to decide if I want to get out early to make mummy happy or if I want to stay in this warm dark quiet place i've been living in. ho hum.......

Now we get to visit the obstetrician each week until i'm born. and in 2 weeks time the doctor is going to so a sweep which is something that will hopefully encourage me to vacate early. Apparently they did it to mummy when my big sister was born and it worked really well. SO I better start packing my bags.
