How Mommy knew & told Daddy about me :)

So things were a little suspicious...not being able to sleep, waking up at 1, 3, 5, etc..., always feeling hungry....I decided to take a test: POSITIVE!  But trusting something you buy from Safeway alone is not enough for me.  The Doctor finally gave in to let me come in for a confirmation (they trust those tests, why shouldn't I? they say).  At Sutter, the results were in: NEGATIVE.  Negative?  Hmm....a false positive?  At Safeway?!?!  LOL So, they decided to take my blood...POSITIVE results came back the next day... Moral of the story: I guess Safeway is more trustworthy than the doctor, but blood don't lie~!

TELLING CHANO THAT HIS DREAM HAS COME TRUE

  So, I was planning for a nice Sunday when Chano and I both had a completely free day...I wanted it to be just perfect.  I couldn't just tell him over dinner, "Hey guess what!" or "I have something to tell you...".  Those prefaces always end in..."you're pregnant".  Nope: this had to be different.   As soon as my plans had surfaced, I made all the necessary adjustments via amazon and ebay.  SUNDAY, JANUARY 31, 2010   Weather.com said it was going to be sunny!  HOWEVER, as soon as I got up, it was foggier than I could remember it being all winter!  I had to stall as the fog burned off.    Not suspicious at all, I suggested that we go to Best Buy and play some video games..."SURE!" Chano immediately answered.  ...after about an hour and 1/2 of best buy video game playing (that'll make a non-gamer crazy), it was still foggy!   So, I suggested that we go see a movie (2 hours ought to do it, right?).  Knowing that I wasn't supposed to placed in suspenseful/stressful situations, the only movie I saw that would be doable was the new Disney movie The Tooth Fairy starring The Rock.  Luckily, Chano hadn't seen the previews, so I told him it was supposed to be hilarious and had great reviews (left out the part that the reviewers were aged between 5-10 years old).   After 1 and 1/2 hours of little kids laughing all around us (we were the only people in that theater over 4 feet tall!), it was finally sunny...the fog had burnt off and now it was beautiful...perfect!   We returned to my parent's house and I sent him upstairs to check on the soccer scores for the day (again, not suspicious at all...).  I packed the picnic basket and set up the ideal picnic at the same place where Chano and I had our first date and where he had asked me to marry him.   When I called him, I asked if he cared to join me. When he asked where I was, he guessed immediately and I soon saw him approaching.  When he saw me, next to me was the picnic basket, and on the other side was a tiny soccer ball and the tiniest, cutest little pair of soccer shoes.    He sat down and asked, "What are those for?"  I asked, "Do you want to guess?"  He said no, thinking that he would be heartbroken if he guessed and it turned out he was wrong.  Finally he asked, "Are you pregnant?"  I smiled, and said yes.   Immediately, he buried his head in the grass and cried.  I think that was the happiest moment of his life. But you know me, I can't deal with too much seriousness and after giving him a good 3 minutes in the moment, said, "Just Kidding!".    His face turned towards me, and never in my life have I seen anyone look so disappointed!  I immediately told him that I was serious the first time. I thought pregnancy was supposed to make you more sensitive?!!?  ;)
