From The Beginning...

     Mommy was a week overdue when she was booked to be induced.  Up to this point the pregnancy was normal.  On Monday(11-04-05) Mommy and Daddy reported to the maternity ward at the hospital where Mommy works to see an obstetrician.  Dr. Madvanni examined Mommy and suggested to proceed with an induction using gel to rippen mommy's cervix.  I was being lazy inside and wasn't in any rush to come out.  After three gels over two days Mommy's labour began to accelerate around noon on Tuesday(12-04-05)

     As labour intensified, Mommy wasn't coping so well so she got a shot of demerol to help her with the pain.  At approx. 5 pm her cervix was 7 cm dilated and she was asked to move to the delivery room.  Mommy didn't waste any time changing rooms, in fact she literally ran down the hall ahead of the nurses and Daddy.  I hear Daddy tease her about this often.  After learning to use the Entonox,  Mommy promptly notified the nurse when she suddenly had the urge to push at approx. 6 pm.  A short while after, Mommy pushed me out in about three attempts.  Daddy was there the entire time and was the first to annouce my sex to Mommy.  He was an excellent coach, helping Mommy through it all.  I know we're going to make a great team-all three of us!
